French Style Baked Potato

         My mom is the type of person that likes to learn new things. Lately, my mom has been making food from watching YouTube videos. She chose this French style baked potato because it looks easy to make and not much ingredients are required. The potatoes do taste very good (from a potato lover). 

Fresh Fish Congee

         This morning, my mom made me congee with fresh fish, scallions, ginger and rice. The night before I saw her in the kitchen carefully cutting the bone and skin out from the fish. I'm really thankful for her for doing everything. She does things that I don't think I will ever be able to do. Mom's the best!!

Pineapple Bun

          It took my mom 50+lbs of flour and lots of tries to make these soft and delicious buns. Each bun is made with love and care. She usually make the buns at night after getting work. My mom didn't have to make the buns, but because she really care about her children so she doesn't mind staying up late at night just to make the buns and have it ready in the morning for breakfast. Thanks to my mom for her selflessness, care and love! 

25th Anniversary Cake

          A couple of weeks ago, it was my parents 25th anniversary of marriage. My brother and I decided to bake a cake to celebrate (already gave presents earlier). I looked through our kitchen and the only cake mix that we have was a chocolate devils cake (chocolate :)) my fav). So, we worked together to bake it. It took us more than 20mins to bake the cake... I added mint chocolate chips in there and topped the cake with macarons and graham crackers. The cake wasn't too bad (first time baking cake without mom around) and my mom really liked it!! 

Black Sesame Dessert Soup

          This dessert is a pretty common Chinese cuisine. It is made up of very simple ingredients: black sesame seeds, rice, water and sugar. Black sesame dessert soup is also one of my favoritest Chinese dessert! 

Pizza!

          My mom bought most of the ingredients including the dough, but the meatballs are homemade :) 

I rolled out the dough and let it rise, while my mom preheated the oven and prepared the ingredients. Our homemade pizza has mushrooms, homemade beef meatballs, cheese and pasta sauce on it. My brother helped put the toppings on the pizza and then my mom baked it.

Result: we got a thick crust pizza :)
